Information we collect
Pantry Tracker & Meal Planner stores the account name and email supplied through sign-in, pantry items and quantities, barcodes, categories, storage locations, measurement settings, expiration dates, shopping-list settings, household memberships, scan history, emergency-food plan settings, reminder preferences, subscription status, and files that you choose to upload.
If you contact Help & Support, we also store the problem category, description, basic device and connection details, and any screenshot you choose to attach.
How information is used
We use this information to provide private and shared pantry inventory, barcode lookup, quantity tracking, shopping lists, expiration reminders, emergency-food planning, backups, cloud storage, plan access, recipe matching, account support, security, and synchronization between your devices.
Beau Dog Digital Products does not sell personal information, display third-party advertising inside Pantry Tracker, or use customer information for cross-app advertising tracking.
Elite recipe matching and outside websites
The Elite recipe feature compares recipe ingredient names with the item names currently available in your pantry and shows possible matches and missing ingredients. Pantry Tracker & Meal Planner does not intentionally send your account email or complete pantry inventory to the linked recipe publisher.
When you choose Open online recipe, you leave Pantry Tracker and open a third-party website. That website may receive ordinary browser information, such as your IP address, device or browser type, and its own cookies, according to its privacy policy. Beau Dog Digital Products does not control the third party’s privacy practices, advertising, cookies, content, or availability.
Service providers
Service providers may process limited information to operate authentication, hosting, database storage, file storage, payments, app distribution, barcode lookup, and device features. Apple or Google manages app-store payments. RevenueCat may process app-user identifiers and purchase status. Open Food Facts receives a barcode when you request a public product lookup; Pantry Tracker does not intentionally include your account email in that request.
Offline storage and automatic updates
For offline use, the app keeps a copy of the last synchronized pantry and changes waiting to upload on your device. Pending changes are sent to the cloud automatically when an internet connection returns. The Home Screen version may also store app-screen files on the device so it can open reliably and receive automatic updates. Signing out clears the private pantry cache on that device.
Camera, microphone, and device features
The camera is used to recognize barcodes. Camera images are processed on the device and are not intentionally uploaded or saved unless you separately attach a screenshot to a support request. Microphone and speech-recognition services are used only when a voice feature is available and you choose to activate it. Beau Dog Digital Products does not intentionally store microphone recordings.
Household sharing
Pantry information is shared with another customer only when that person joins the same household using its invite code. Household members can view and update information in that shared pantry. Keep invite codes private and share them only with people you trust.
Security
Pantry Tracker uses account sign-in and server-side household membership checks to restrict access. Information is encrypted while transmitted. No online system can guarantee absolute security, so customers should not store passwords, payment-card numbers, medical records, or other highly sensitive documents in Pantry Tracker.
Retention, correction, and deletion
Information is retained while the account remains active or as reasonably necessary to operate the service, resolve disputes, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations. Customers can correct pantry information inside the app and can permanently request deletion from the Delete Account page. Deletion removes account-linked Pantry Tracker records and uploaded files subject to operational or legal retention requirements. Shared-household ownership may transfer to another member so that member’s pantry is preserved.
Deleting Pantry Tracker does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play purchase or subscription. Purchase management is handled through the store account used for the transaction.
Children
Pantry Tracker is not directed to children under 13 or the applicable minimum age for independent digital consent.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when features or data practices change. The effective date at the top identifies the latest version.
